The client team impressed with our CoE for data analysis.
The client team visits our Centre of Excellence for data analysis and leaves back highly impressed. The visit further strengthened the ties between CDI and the client, who according to the client are working as "one team".

This visit has both reinforced the existing role that we are undertaking for them and illustrated that we have the capability to work with them in additional ways to help them achieve their business goals.

Client team visited CDI offshore Centre of Excellence for Data AnalysisTM in July '08. The client representatives who visited us were Head of Content for Counterparty and Company Authority, Head of the Specialist Team for Counterparty and Company Authority and Head of Counterparty for the Datascope select product.

The client team were highly impressed with the functioning of CDI teams. They were specifically pleased to find that our analyst teams were particularly engaged about the client's vision for Counterparty and Company Authority Data. They also praised the general knowledge levels of the analyst team.

The client representatives were pleasantly surprised by the work in progress in changes to the UI/application and that these were exactly the sort of things that they were looking for.

The client held various meetings with heads of the departments for which the agenda was reference data presentation, technical presentation, pprocess-related interactions and demo of new enhancements on UI/ Demo of IOTA.

The client also met with HR Heads, who explained the HR processes and shared the vision of our organization. The client was briefed about our basic convention that CDIM offers careers and not just jobs. They were also pleased with offshore recruitment process, which boasts of excellent figures of turnaround time to bring in new resources and also average duration of employment.

In making the client visit successful, the choreography that was conducted by Ashu Chadha, in terms of planning, which was then executed frame-by-frame by Naveen's teams, CDI teams, and Brijesh was remarkable.

CDIM team's efforts bring a new success for the client.
CDIM team's efforts bring a new success for the client and propel it to a greater height. As a recent success the client has received Inside Market Data Awards 2008 & Inside Reference Data Awards 2008 for Best Counterparty Data Provider and Best Reference Data Provider. Hosted by Inside Market Data and Inside Reference Data, these awards recognize industry excellence within market data, reference data and enterprise data management. The awards celebrate the outstanding companies, people and products of the past year and ensure the shining stars of the data industry are truly recognized.

This reward was a direct outcome of the CDI team effort to deliver best reference data in the world. The team has one more time resolved to keep up their efforts to make sure that the client keeps up with this success for years to come.

CDI has been able to provide high accuracy rate to the client, which has been a major factor in the client's success. Since initiation of the project the percentage of accuracy has only gone upwards and currently it is an extremely high figure.

According to the client, CreditDimensions "brings additional high quality data analysis capacity to bear, which means we can meet our customer's demand for getting the service to market quickly, and enhance it faster. They are a very aligned partner; the rigour we ordinarily put behind our data sourcing processes is reflected in full throughout their organization. They are a great partner to deal with, acting as a true extension of our capabilities."

CreditDimension's migration project for client brings accolades for the CDI team.
CreditDimensions application has now been running in client's production environment for over 2 months successfully, instilling the client with confidence in declaring the migration project a success. The client very forthrightly accepts that this was an arduous project that took much longer than anticipated due to the many unforeseen difficulties in getting a vendor application to be compliant with client's Data Center and standards. But they are glad with the final choice they made by choosing MGL-Finance as the vendor. The CreditDimensions application provides client with the mapping of external obligor IDs to the firm's internal ID. This link is crucial for Basel II because it allows external ratings to be attached to obligors and used in Basel II calculations. According to client representative "Vendor CreditDimensions has provided quality mappings to client for several years but their application needed to be moved in house to avoid conflict with market data vendor contracts. Commendations have to go out to the vendor team, Gaurav Malik, Ankur Mehta and their directs, for the perseverance that was required to bring this project across the finish line. Congratulations and my thanks to all of you for your fine work on this project, which has resulted, in the end, in a very stable and reliable application."

The main benefit is that the customer identifier mapping process will be supported by client's infrastructure. As the application is automated and moved in house, CDI's offshore analysts continue to access the application in order to review the mapping of external Ids and the resulting cross-reference continues to be fed to various client departments.

Shortcuts to Customer and Counterparty Data Management: Vendors and Capabilities for Legal Entity Data, Dec 04, 2006

Although legal entity data services is still a relatively small market, vendors are seeing rapid growth within it. Pending regulatory deadlines through 2008 are driving a 200% average annual growth rate in spending in this market...

Boston, MA, December 4, 2006 - According to a new impact report by Aite Group, LLC, Aite Group expects that by 2010, over 10% of the total spending within Enterprise Data Management will be for legal entity data management. This report highlights four vendors that provide products that help facilitate customer and counterparty data cleansing and management, including: Avox, CounterpartyLink, CreditDimensions, and D&B. Vendors were asked 64 questions regarding corporate information, product overviews, data information, origination, distribution, regulatory examination, and services.

According to Adam Honore, author of the report, "To remain compliant, to control risk, and to understand their customers, firms need to clean their customer and counterparty data. Given the current propensity to outsource the 'plumbing', or anything that does not create a proprietary competitive advantage, data cleansing services are in the right market at the right time." The analyst adds, "Vendors need to be willing partners with their customers regarding regulatory inquiries and compliance initiatives."

This 50-page Impact Report contains 12 figures and eight tables. Clients of Aite Group's Institutional Securities & Investments Service can download the report by clicking on the icon to the right.
